The cabin sits 300' above the North Toe River five miles west of Bakersville, NC. Elevation at the cabin is 2,500 feet. Listen to the sounds of the roaring river below while enjoying the view from the rear deck overlooking the valley and river. The 7.5 forested acres slope down to the river. Walk down the old lumber road to the river while enjoying the beautiful poplar trees that surround you. A single track railroad runs through the property just before you arrive at the river. Once there, steps lead you down to the river. Over 500 feet of secluded river front with large boulders and clear water await you. There are no cabins or homes anywhere along the river giving you nothing but privacy. Camp, swim, tube and picnic on the river. Three picnic tables are on the property. One on the river, one near the creek, and the other just outside the cabin below the deck. Relax in an Adirondack love seat enjoying the sunset and view of the river below. Deer and other wildlife are abundant in the area. At night enjoy the wood fireplace and our two new sofas with his and her recliners. The entire property is yours when you rent the cabin.
