Just outside Bryson City, you’ll turn off a quiet country lane and wind your way on a paved road past a small pond to Stone’s Throw Cabin. Take a moment when you step on the wide front porch to turn around and take in the view. You just might sit down in one of the comfortable rockers and never get up. But there’s much more to this cabin than a pretty view. Stone’s Throw Cabin is a spacious new 3-bedroom, 2-bath getaway with all wood interior and stacked stone accents. The owners have thoughtfully decorated the cabin with local and Native American Indian art from their personal collection. The entertainment area has hardwood floors, oriental rugs and leather sectional and other seating. There’s satellite TV, DVD/CD with Bose speakers, plenty of games and a reference library of books on the area. In front of the floor-to-ceiling stacked stone gas log fireplace is a unique coffee table featuring a model train layout. The cabin is conveniently located less than 5 minutes from Bryson City’s restaurants, shopping, grocery stores and the Great Smoky Mountains Railroad. In under 5 minutes you are at the Deep Creek entrance to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park where you can walk to waterfalls, enjoy trout fishing and whitewater tubing. |
