Mountain Glory TR #15 Daniel Boone led the first settlers across the Appalachian Mountains through the Cumberland Gap in the summer of 1773. That adventuresome group of settlers remained a short six months before hardship sent them back to the Carolinas. Three years later Boone led another group through the Gap and founded the first permanent settlement west of the mountains. From the vast forests of virgin pines and hardwoods, they cut and carved by hand the logs used to build their sturdy log cabins. This cabin is a restoration of an original log cabin built by these early pioneers. It is in a secluded location just outside Gatlinburg, TN, and sits atop a mountain with an incredible view of the Smokies! Although rustic charm abounds in this cabin, it is also equipped with modern amenities like a fully equipped kitchen, a hot tub, and a 6-person Jacuzzi. And although in a secluded location, it is less than 10 minutes to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Sorry, this is a No Pets & a Non-Smoking unit, Strictly Enforced. |
