Hiking Dog Cottage is located in the historic downtown area of Damascus, Virginia. We are located within walking distance to the Creeper Trail bike rentals & shuttle, restaurants, services, shops and many local trailheads, including the Appalachian Trail, the Daniel Boone Trail, Creeper hiking trail and the Trans Continental Bike Trail. Directly behind the cottage is the Laurel Creek, just one of the many stocked fishing creeks in our area. We are located one block off of our main street (Laurel Avenue) which makes us a very quiet cottage. The cottage is only about 20-miles to Abingdon, VA and 40-miles from the NASCAR Bristol Motor Speedway

  • Directions to Damascus from Interstate 81 (Abingdon): From Interstate 81 south, take exit 19 and turn left onto Lee Highway (turn right if exiting from I-81 north). Proceed to the traffic light and bear right on to US Highway 58. Follow US-58 approximately 12 miles to Damascus.
  • The Bristol Motor Speedway is only 45-minutes away.

Rates:
  • Weekends (Friday & Saturday) 2-Adults $110 per night $25.00 for extra person, up to 4-extra persons allowed.
  • Sunday - Thursday 2-Adults $95 per night $20.00 for extra person, up to 4-extra persons allowed.
  • Weekly Rates (7-days) $660.00
  • NASCAR Race weekends, Trail Days, September-Fest: Require a 3-night minimum stay.
