The Bear Dance Lodge at Shadow Mountain Escape is a unique duplex lodge. The lodge consists of the Bumble Bee and Dragon Fly cabins which are cleverly designed with no walls shared between the two independent dwellings. This two cabin lodge has 4 bedrooms, 2 baths and sleeps up to 12 people. (The cabins can be rented separately or together). The Butterfly is Shadow Mountain Escape's newest addition. This stand-alone unit is the most secluded - it rests on the second level of the timber frame "salt box" barn structure.

Located on 15 acres in a beautiful "niche" of the Blue Ridge Mountains known as "Jewell Hollow" - Luray. Enjoy an evening campfire, walking on our nature trail or stroll along Black Bear Lane. Celebrating a birthday, anniversary or gathering with friends - reserve our "La Cantina" which is located below the Lodge! For romantic celebrations - reserve the Butterfly loft (stand-alone cabin)

Observation Tower - A Must See! The Bear Dance Lodge has an observation tower, which provides a striking view of the ridge line (Skyline drive) and surrounding forest for guests to enjoy.

La Cantina! Have you ever been to a European bar/pub/cantina? Be sure to inquire about this private room available for private group and romantic parties, birthday and anniversary celebrations, meetings, etc. This room is located below the Bear Dance Lodge and captures that special atmosphere for our guests that we've only found in the authentic settings of a German "Stube" or a Tuscan "Cantina"!

The cabins are located in the middle of the Shenandoah Valley - Luray - Virginia's great outdoor playground. Whether you prefer hiking, canoeing, horseback riding, fishing, golfing or just to take a scenic drive along Skyline Drive, it's all at your doorstep. And here's the best part - at the end of the day, you'll have one of our comfortable and unique Timberframe cabins to come home to.
