Romantic, Historic Farmhouse Getaway in Peaceful Country Setting




Getz Valley Farmhouse is a romantic, historic wooden farmhouse built in 1840 situated in a lovely country setting with a pine forest backdrop. This lovely old home has been beautifully restored and features the original wide plank pine flooring, original wood panel doors and rustic hardware, most of the original sand glass windows and wood burning fireplaces in the living room and dining room. The slightly hilly property is approximately two acres and is nicely landscaped with rock walls, brick walkways, and flowers bloom throughout spring and fall. There are several springs on the property including an old horse well and small stream. Getz Valley Farmhouse is perfect for couples and small families, and the formal room layout makes it perfect for celebrating an anniversary or holiday. With a full eat-in kitchen and dining room that seats 10, it is nice for a celebration with the closest of friends and families. However, a romantic dinner for two in the dining room is just as nice. All rooms are nicely decorated with the best of accommodations. Please come and stay in this welcoming home!

  • The property is within 15 minutes of Blue Mountain Ski, Beltzville Lake, Lehigh River, Appalachian Trail and historic Jim Thorpe. A customized attraction map as well as floor plans and site plan are available as a PDF via email.
  • Weekends 2 nights/2 days start Friday 5 PM. Weeks are 6 nights/7 days
